Cultivate Balance is here to build individual and collective resilience through Ayurvedic Lifestyle Design as an emergent strategy* for growing our capacity to embody the just and sustainable world we know is possible.
We leverage the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda as a key strategy for cultivating resilience in response to modern challenges such as overwork, chronic stress, lack of access to nourishing food, inequity, racism, multigenerational trauma, pollution and climate change. Our virtual and in-person offerings are intended to be inclusive and accessible — ranging from online Ayurvedic lifestyle programs and virtual workshops, to on-site seminars and personal consultations.
Our work is intentionally oriented to be in service of movement builders, change-makers and thought leaders — people who are striving for a more compassionate world, but may need support in cultivating and maintaining the resilience that enables us to keep working toward this shared mission.

*Emergent Strategy
When we say Ayurveda is an emergent strategy, what do we mean? As defined by adrienne maree brown, emergent strategy is “the way we generate and reshape complex systems and patterns with relatively simple interactions.” (Go deep with this in The Emergent Strategy Podcast). We recognize that, as a framework for wellness that is grounded in nature, Ayurveda provides small and sustainable practices that become leveraged for personal and planetary wellbeing. Our goal is to share the wisdom of Ayurveda as a guide to return home to our bodies and our innate wisdom so that we can co-create a world that invites everyone to thrive.

We intend for our offerings to nurture planetary and collective wellbeing — through restoration of our connection to the Earth and the divine, a commitment to liberation, and the co-creation of a more just world.
We offer the holistic wisdom of Ayurveda with an ever-evolving awareness of the intersectional impact of systems of oppression, such as racism, capitalism and patriarchy. We honor the evolving framework of radical care and justice available through liberation movements led by womxn, non-binary, queer and trans folx, namely those who are Black, latinx, and indigenous. We acknowledge that our work is made possible because of their efforts.
As white women, we take responsibility for our role in responding to oppression and we are humbled by the process of unlearning. We are committed to the lifelong journey of dismantling systems of oppression within ourselves.

We offer wellness workshops at affordable prices in order to ensure accessibility for our community, as well as discounts for BIPOC, LBGTQ, non-profit employees, activists and students.
